After that, and much hard work later, the village grew to over 70 buildings most of which are open for display.
The Abbey Museum is a priceless collection of antiquities and fine arts from around the world. The Museum has won international acclaim for the quality of its displays and the extent of its collections, from many different civilisations and cultures.

BEAUTIFUL BRIBIE ISLAND
You can swim at a surf beach, go fishing, muck about in boats or ride a bike across the island, all without battling crowds. Bribie Island is a hidden gem, without the crowds of the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. The Pumicestone Passage separates Bribie Island from the mainland. A trip on the water has spectacular views north to the Glasshouse Mountains and is a favourite spot for boaties and fishermen.
